SleepWeaver Advance Soft Cloth CPAP Mask - Pink

!9#: SleepWeaver Advance Soft Cloth CPAP Mask - Pink

Brand : Circadiance | Rate : | Price :
Post Date : Jan 19, 2012 03:33:03 | Usually ships in 1-2 business days

The revolutionary SleepWeaverTM ADVANCE Cloth CPAP mask improves on the groundbreaking design of the original SleepWeaver while offering increased comfort, a better fit, noticeably smaller mask dimensions, and easier-to-use headgear.Constructed entirely of soft cloth the SleepWeaver ADVANCE is LATEX & SILICONE FREE so it's ideal for allergy sufferers! The SleepWeaver's cloth cushion won't get sticky like traditional nasal cushions. The breathable fabric inflates around your nose and pushes gently against the face to create a secure seal. A fine cloth inner lining -- the Zzzephyr seal -- improves fit and increases comfort.Unlike traditional nasal masks the SleepWeaver ADVANCE has no rigid frame or hard buckles so it's great for people who sleep in any position -- side, back or stomach.

  • ALLERGY FREE - The soft, breathable, cloth SleepWeaver will leave you hardly aware that you're wearing any CPAP device at all. With NO SILICONE OR LATEX, your nostrils will be free, your forehead won't be dented, and you'll be wrinkle-free in the morning.
  • GENTLE HEADGEAR - The design of the SleepWeaver means that the seal is created by the pressure from your CPAP system, rather than by the tightness of the headgear straps. Generally SleepWeaver users can lossen their headgear overall reducing pressure sores on the bridge of the nose, forehead and other parts of the face.
  • SECURE SEAL - The SleepWeaver is made of soft cloth and has no rigid parts that come into contact with the skin. It inflates to form a balloon of air that pushes gently against the patient's face to form a seal. Because the cloth is flexible and follows the exact shape of each individual's face, air leakage is reduced.
  • NOISE REDUCTION - The SleepWeaver features a series of holes on the front of the mask for exhalation. The design means that breath escapes through a wider area, minimising noise and preventing the concentrated stream of air that often leads to whistling and whooshing noises in other masks. This also allows the exhaled air to disperse more naturally, making exhalation feel more comfortable. Fabric also naturally absorbs sound, rather than the plastic traditionally used which is more likely to create it.
  • MACHINES WASHABLE! - The SleepWeaver mask and headgear can be washed in a washing machine with your regular laundry using your usual detergent. Use a gentle cycle with cold or warm water. Never use hot water, as this will cause the mask to shrink and disfigure. Once washed, hang the mask to dry. Never tumbledry it, as this will also cause it to shrink and disfigure. The SleepWeaver mask will usually hang dry in one to two hours. The SleepWeaver can also be hand washed with a mild, non-abrasive hand soap.

Tips to Get Used to the CPAP Mask

!9# Tips to Get Used to the CPAP Mask

The continuous positive airway pressure or CPAP mask in Toronto's medical supplies stores is the most common medical treatment for sleep apnea. When lifestyle changes cannot make the cut of alleviating the symptoms of sleep apnea, your doctor will recommend the regular use of the CPAP mask. In Toronto, as in many other cities, the mask is accessorized by a CPAP machine that provides steady air pressure and a hose to connect the mask to the machine.

As with any medical device introduced to the body, the CPAP mask can cause physical problems and emotional difficulties for the majority of sufferers like you. Fortunately, you can adopt many measures to counteract these problems. You will, eventually, get used to its presence. Here is how.

Right Style, Right Size

There are many styles and sizes available for the CPAP mask. In Toronto, there are many suppliers of this device so it should make for a wider range of choices.

You have to find the right style and the right size that will suit your needs and fit your face; otherwise, you will be looking down a road filled with ill-fitting devices that add to your aggravation instead of lessening them.

You can choose from either a full-face mask or a mask with a nasal pillow; each has its own advantages and disadvantages so it pays to ask your supplier. As to size, you can opt for an adjustable mask so that you can have the best fit possible.

Time is of the Essence

Getting used to the CPAP mask is often a matter of time. Rather, using it almost all the time until you can actually sleep without so much ado about its presence round your face and head.

For example, you can start wearing the mask during the daytime for short periods at home even when you are not sleeping. Then, you start attaching the hose with the machine on during the daytime, too. When you become used to wearing it during daytime, you can start wearing it during your nighttime sleepy time.

You have to remember that the sooner you get used to the device, the better. Indeed, with the CPAP mask, in Toronto and everywhere else you can finally get a good night's sleep!

Patience is a Virtue

And so it is! When you start wearing your CPAP mask, in Toronto and anywhere else for that matter, patience is a very important personal characteristic. You will encounter many difficulties but fortunately, you have recourse. Just a few examples:

For dry mouth and nose, you can use either a nasal steroid spray or adjust the level of humidity in the device.

For skin irritation, you can wash your face and your mask every night. Check for unusual tightness and adjust the fit accordingly.

For unintentional removals during the night, you can try steps like putting on chin straps to anchor the mask and adjusting the heat of the CPAP humidifier.

You will notice that the abovementioned measures are of the trial-and-error kind. This is precisely why you need the patience to find just the right combination of factors to make your sleepy times better.

Rest assured that when you have become accustomed to wearing the CPAP mask, in Toronto and beyond shall you fly away. Or at least, to the restful place of uninterrupted dreamland!
